Terms of service

LAST UPDATED 28 OCTOBER 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Blurp when you use the website, its API, or Blurp for YouTube. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. The privacy policy explains what we do with your data, and is part of these terms.

What Blurp does

You give Blurp links to videos. It fetches them, listens for burps and farts with an automated detector, and gives you clips of what it found to review and export. The detector is a statistical model: it will miss some noises and flag some that are not there. Check its results before you rely on them.

Your account

You need an account with a working email address. Keep your sign-in to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account. You must be at least 13, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.

What you may scan

Only submit videos you own, or have permission to download and process. Every scan asks you to confirm that, and confirming it is your promise to us. You are responsible for following the terms of the sites your links point to, including when Blurp fetches from them with a login you saved or synced.

Do not use Blurp to:

  • process content you have no right to, or that is illegal to hold or share;
  • get around a site's paywall, access controls or limits for content you are not entitled to;
  • attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to reach other people's systems;
  • share, resell or automate an account beyond what its plan allows.

We may suspend scans or accounts that break these rules, and remove content when we are told, with reason, that it infringes someone's rights.

Your content

The videos, clips and exports are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run your scans and show you the results. We claim no other rights in them.

Blurp is not a backup. Files are deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy, so download what you want to keep.

Plans and billing

Lite is free, with a limited daily allowance. Paid plans (Pro at $12 a month, Max at $29 a month) are billed monthly in advance by Stripe and renew until you cancel. Allowances are minutes of source video processed, and reset on the schedule shown on your account page; unused minutes do not roll over. A scan that fails to fetch is not counted.

You can cancel from your account page at any time. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for, then move to the free plan. If we change a plan's price, we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us and we will look into it.

Changes to Blurp

We may change, add or remove features. Sites change too, so a link that works today may stop working. If we shut Blurp down, we will give paying accounts at least 30 days' notice and refund any period paid for and not used.

No warranty

Blurp is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its detections will be accurate or complete.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim about Blurp is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using Blurp at any time, and ask us to delete your account: use the report form linked at the bottom of every page (leave an email address if you want a reply). We may close an account that breaks these terms; where it is fair to, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to download your files.

Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and email account holders before a change that matters takes effect. Using Blurp after that means you accept the new terms.
